ECMA statement - French Mineral Oil legislation

ECMA have written a statement in close collaboration with the FFI, concerning the French Mineral Oil Order which will become applicable from 1 January 2025. You can download the statement here.

We are concerned that this legislation does not consider that the mineral oil limits have become so low, that even unintentionally added trace mineral oils could result in finding above the legal limits. We are asking for discussions with authorities, ink suppliers and laboratories to consider the consequences of this legislation.
