Our forests and our future | ECMA Study Tour to Finland

The ECMA Young Leaders Forum initiated this year's ECMA Study Tour to Finland where a group of ECMA members visited the Äänekoski board mill. A group of 13 people from the industry joined the tour.  

We bring the forest to you (and you to the forest)
We promised the participants to bring them to the forest, and we are convinced that after this tour they took a bit of the forest in their hearts back home.

It was a very inspiring tour where the participants experienced an intensive programme, which took them from the forest to a pulp mill, carton board production facilities, and the R&D centre in Äänekoski, near the region's capital Jyväskylä in Central Finland. The participants were able to have very valuable conversations about the future of our industry and their businesses.   

ECMA would like to thank all participants for attending the study tour, and Metsä Board for their hospitality and the excellent organisation on site. We already look forward to the next tour to one of our other valued supplier members!
