Carton Excellence Award: Announcement of Finalists Vote for Excellence! Now!

Pro Carton and ECMA are proud to reveal the finalists for the 21st European Carton Excellence Award and also to announce that for the first time there will be a special award for the public’s favourite. Just go to www.procarton.com and you will not only see the FINALISTS but be able to VOTE for your favourite too!

The Awards were first presented in 1997 under the name of Pro Carton ECMA Award. Now known as the Carton Excellence Award it is recognised as Europe’s most prestigious carton packaging award.

Congratulations go to all the finalists, the quality of entries gets better every year. Take a look for yourselves and decide which one you think should win the Public Award.    

You can also vote,follow, like, share, comment, involve friends and promote your favourite designs on our social media platforms Facebook and Twitter!  And the voters can win, too! There will be a random draw amongst everyone that casts a vote for an iPad Air.


The Awards will be presented at the Gala Dinner of the ECMA Congress on 21st September 2017 in the beautiful city of Salzburg. The awards are divided into nine different categories plus the the new Public Award and the ultimate accolade, Carton of the Year. The categories are:

  • Drinks, Confectionery, Beauty & Cosmetics, Food & Beverages, Non-food, Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals, Volume Markets and
  • NEW for 2017: Save the Planet Award for a product that has made a significant contribution to helping the environment and the Most Innovative Award which will reward technical excellence 

The winners will appear on www.procarton.com at midnight on 21st September 2017. 

The Awards go to prove that cartons are not only one of the most sustainable forms of packaging but are also one of the most attractive, versatile and innovative.
