BPIF Cartons - 2017; a year of change
Neal Whipp is retiring in Spring 2017. He has been the General Manager - and driving force - of BPIF Cartons for over 12 years. He has succesfully attracted, consolidated and increased membership numbers - both converters and partners - and expanded BPIF Cartons' range of activities. He has conceived and organised many networking events whilst also handling the administration and finances of the Association. He has been very active in representing BPIF Cartons in political lobbying and public affairs as well as communication with specifiers and users and has greatly increased the BPIF's influence in those areas. Along with the PMG ans TAG sub-committees he has improved our communications and knowledge on matters of topical interest. He has had support and guidance from the General Committee too - but essentially he is the voice of the Association and has borne a heavy workload.
Neal's departure allows BPIF Cartons to consider what structure is appropriate for the future and in future his role will be shared between Jon Clark and Paul Woollett, both of whom are well known to the members. Each will be responsible for separate and specific areas of Neal's activities. Neal will carry out a 3 month handover before departing by end of June.
ECMA will say goodbye to Neal during the next meeting of the Association Development Committee in Berlin on 17 May 2017.
