The ECMA Congress for 2022 will take place in Krakow, Poland on 15 & 16 September 2022 – this will be the largest gathering from the European folding carton and cartonboard sector since 2019.

The theme of the Congress will be ‘Sustainability Unboxed’ and we have a superb line-up of speakers including Carrefour, Euromonitor, BPO Packaging Strategy & Innovation, EXPRA,  CEPI, Moorgate Capital and Suez Circpack whilst our keynote speaker is the acclaimed TED presenter Leyla Acaraglu. Mr Marek Belka MEP and Ex-Prime Minister of Poland will open the Congress.  

The Congress will, as usual, be a celebration of all things connected with folding cartons and cartonboard and will give many of our members the chance to meet industry friends and colleagues for the 1^st time in 3 years… during the Thursday evening dinner, we will celebrate the winners of the European Carton Excellence Awards. We have made some changes to the format of this congress due to the conflict in Ukraine, for example we do not feel a black-tie gala dinner is appropriate and ECMA will be making a donation to a local charity supporting refugees.
